Why Godis Fábrica Isn’t Just a Business – It’s a Personal Story of Growth

I still can’t believe it as I write this – Godis Fábrica is turning one year old next week. One full year since I opened the online shop and poured my heart and soul into something I truly believed in. Honestly? It still feels surreal. But here we are – and let me tell you why Godis Fábrica is so much more than just a business.

Godis Fábrica didn’t start as just a business idea. It started as a journey – a journey that took me through layers of personal growth, pain, healing, fear, and finally, strength. It’s a deeply personal story, full of moments that made me question everything… and also moments that reminded me exactly why I kept going.

Only a few people who truly know me are aware of how much I’ve struggled with social anxiety. And even they might not know how bad it really was. Without diving too deep into the details – the past few years of my life were filled with so much “solitude”, mostly because of work and other factors that made me overly “comfortable” with isolating myself. On top of that, I went through several painful experiences that shattered my trust – in people, in society, in kindness.

“Had to admit to myself that over the years, I contributed to my own anxiety.”

I’m not talking about the kind of anxiety where you just feel shy sometimes. No. I mean the kind that makes your heart race during a simple conversation. The kind of anxiety that gives you a panic attack just from walking down a crowded street. The kind that makes you afraid to be seen or face anything at all. For long time, it was unthinkable to imagine putting my work out into the world. How could I do that when I couldn’t even represent myself, and even less something I had created.

The worst times came after some traumatic events in my life – but I also had to admit to myself that over the years, I contributed to my own anxiety. I isolated myself, avoided the world, and fed the already existing anxiety. That made everything worse.

Godis Fábrica the Safe Place

But then, I started Godis Fábrica. And it became more than a business – it became my safe space. A space to express myself. A thing that will push me to change, face the ongoing anxiety and stop self isolating myself. At first, it was absolutely terrifying. Launching an online shop meant being visible. It meant promoting myself. It meant standing behind my brand and saying, “I created this, and I believe in it.” And sure, it would’ve been easy if I could do everything online – but that’s just not how building a brand works. That’s when things got pretty hard for me.

But little by little, things started to change. Every product I released, every kind message from a customer, every single order – they all chipped away my doubts. Slowly, I started to feel more confident, more connected, more proud of what I was building. Godis Fábrica taught me how to show up for myself. It also taught me to look up my own part in my “suffering”. It taught me to take responsibility for the ways I had been holding myself back.

Failing Doesn’t Mean You’re a Failure

I’ve made plenty of mistakes. I’ve launched products that didn’t sell, had ideas that flopped, and faced days of total doubt, asking myself, “What am I even doing?” But I also had so many moments that made me cry with happiness. Someone sending me a picture of something they bought from my shop – eating it, loving it, gifting it. People coming up to me at markets, complimenting the setup, telling me how beautiful the table looks and how I radiate good energy. Those moments reminded me why I started. You have no idea how big impact your kind words have had.

Running Godis Fábrica has taught me resilience. It’s taught me that failing doesn’t mean I’m a failure – it means I’m trying. It means I’m growing. And growth? It’s messy. It’s not always pretty or perfect. It’s made of late nights, self-doubt, mistakes, courage, and getting up one more time than you fall.

Growing Louder, Prouder and With Bright Energy

When I think about the person I was before this – wow. That same person, just last December, needed to get bit tipsy before getting to the streets to promote my own brand. The one who was totally blocked about the idea of standing at a market, speaking Spanish, and explaining what Godis Fábrica is. I was traumatized. I was scared. I was unsure. If only you could’ve seen how badly my hands were shaking, how fast my heart was racing, and how close I was to a full panic attack during those first market days – especially alone.

And now? I’m still growing, but I’m doing it louder, prouder, and with the same bright energy I used to have before anxiety dimmed my light. I’m back to myself – and stronger than ever.

Godis Fábrica is Much More Than “Just a Business”

So when I say Godis Fábrica isn’t just a business, I truly mean it. It’s a reflection of my healing. It’s the story of facing PTSD, anxiety, trauma – and choosing to move forward. It’s my heart and soul, laid bare for you to see. And it’s also a celebration of everyone who’s been part of this journey – everyone who bought something, shared my shop, offered kind words, or believed in me when I could barely believe in myself.

I don’t even have words big enough to thank the friends who took my hand, stood beside me, helped me at markets, or simply walked with me when I didn’t have the courage to go alone. Believe me when I say – I could not have done this without you. If you hadn’t been there, just standing next to me, I would never have made it.

Birthday Celebration from 21st to 27th of April

Next week, we celebrate our one-year birthday. And I want to celebrate big. There will be offers all week long – because this isn’t just about me. It’s about all of us. It’s for anyone who’s ever had a dream and found the courage to take a chance – even when they were scared.

So thank you. From the bottom of my heart. For seeing me. For supporting Godis Fábrica. Let’s celebrate how far we’ve come – and how far we’re still going.

With lots of love
